APIs and deployment variants. MARINI uses OData APIs for SAP S/4HANA Cloud and BAPIs or RFCs for on-premise installations. Dynamics 365 Sales is connected via the Web API (OData v4). The integration works with all deployment variants of SAP S/4HANA: Cloud Public, Cloud Private, and On-Premise.

Mapping and data model. Accounts in Dynamics 365 Sales are created as Business Partners (Type = Account) in SAP, Contacts as Business Partners (Type = Contact). Relations between Accounts and Contacts are synchronized via separate plans. Custom entities and customer-specific fields can be mapped.

Conflicts and duplicates. MARINI detects duplicates via configurable matching rules (e.g., email, external ID). Conflicts in bidirectional updates are controlled via field rules: Leading System, timestamp-based, or Custom Logic. Validation and error handling are configurable, logs show all changes.

Monitoring and security. Real-time logs and alerts for errors or deviations. Webhooks and change tracking of the Dynamics 365 API enable event-based synchronization.
