Important note: The video shows the integration of HubSpot with SAP C4C. Of course, connecting to SAP C4C with Dynamics 365 Business Central and many other systems is also possible.

Why should CRM and ERP remain separate worlds?

SAP C4C is a cloud-based CRM system for sales and service with native SAP ERP integration. Dynamics 365 Business Central is an ERP system for small and medium-sized businesses that unites Finance, Supply Chain, Sales and Service.

The SAP C4C Dynamics 365 Business Central Integration connects these two worlds: Sales data from C4C flows directly into the ERP, while finance information from Business Central is available in the CRM. The result is an end-to-end quote-to-cash process where no data needs to be entered twice.

Why do you need the SAP C4C Business Central interface?

Sales, Finance and Operations work on the same data foundation. Here are six typical scenarios where the integration demonstrates its value.

Synchronize Accounts and Contacts bidirectionally. Customer data from C4C is created as Customers in Business Central, finance information such as payment terms flows back into the CRM. Sales sees the creditworthiness, Finance knows the contact person.

Convert Opportunities into Sales Orders. A won Opportunity in C4C is automatically created as a Sales Order in Business Central. The order then goes through the normal ERP process: inventory availability, production, shipping, invoice.

Pull items and prices from ERP into CRM. Sales works with the current product catalog and prices from Business Central. No more outdated conditions, no manual inquiries to Finance.

Display invoice and payment status in CRM. Open items and payment receipts from Business Central are directly visible in C4C. Sales knows which customers have overdue invoices and can react proactively.

Link Service Tickets with ERP data. A service case in C4C is linked to the associated Sales Orders, delivery notes and invoices from Business Central. Support has all information at a glance.

Compare Forecast with actual revenue. Pipeline forecasts from C4C are compared with actual booked revenue from Business Central. This makes forecasts more reliable and shows where Sales is too optimistic or too cautious.

From Integration to Results

The use cases on this page are not theoretical, but implementing them requires experience. You can set up integration and data management yourself through MARINI’s no-code interface, or have our team configure it for you. For implementation in your systems, we work collaboratively with you and your service providers. If you don’t yet have a suitable service provider, we’re happy to recommend an appropriate partner from our network.

What the integration means for management

For: C-Level, Management, Business Development

ROI through reduced error costs. Manual data transfer between CRM and ERP causes errors: Wrong prices, forgotten orders, duplicate customers. The integration eliminates these sources of error and reduces the costs for rework and goodwill.

Faster cycle times from Opportunity to Invoice. Won deals are automatically converted into orders without anyone having to type in data. This reduces the time from contract closing to invoice and accelerates cash flow.

Better decision-making foundation through consistent data. When CRM and ERP run in sync, you have a reliable data foundation for forecasts, pricing decisions and capacity planning. No more discussions about which numbers are correct.

What the integration means for Sales and Operations

For: Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Operations

Sales sees Finance data without having to access ERP. Payment terms, open invoices, credit limits: Everything directly visible in C4C. You no longer need to switch between systems or call Finance to clarify a customer’s status.

No more duplicate data maintenance. You enter a customer or an opportunity once in C4C, the rest runs automatically. No Excel lists, no copy-paste orgies, no manual data reconciliation between Sales and Finance.

Quotes with current prices and availability. You work with items and prices from Business Central. If an item is not available or the price has changed, you see it directly in C4C before sending out a quote.

Service has all order and invoice data at hand. A customer calls about a complaint. You immediately see in C4C which items were delivered, when the invoice was issued and whether it has been paid. This saves time and makes you more actionable.

What the integration means for IT and Development

For: IT, Development, System Architects, Admins

Both systems offer modern APIs. C4C uses OData REST and SOAP Web Services, Business Central offers OData v4 APIs. The integration runs via standardized interfaces, no proprietary hacks or workarounds needed.

Bidirectional synchronization with conflict handling. Data flows in both directions: Customers from C4C to ERP, invoice status from ERP to CRM. MARINI detects conflicts (e.g. simultaneous changes in both systems) and resolves them according to configurable rules.

Mapping between different data models. C4C knows Accounts and Contacts as separate objects, Business Central works with Customers and Contact Persons. MARINI translates between these models and ensures the data remains consistent.

Monitoring, logs and error handling out of the box. You see in real time which records are being synchronized, where errors occur and what the cause is. Logs are searchable, alerts go out via email or webhook. No black box.

Maximum Security and Stability

Business-critical data deserves maximum reliability. At MARINI, security isn’t an add-on—it’s our lived standard. Our security architecture at a glance:

  • GDPR-compliant and legally secured (including Swiss revDPA)
  • ISO 27001-certified data centers
  • Multiple daily backups across multiple locations
  • Incident response and recovery plans
  • Continuous monitoring and personal tech support

This keeps your central data infrastructure stable, protected, and scalable at all times. Together, we’ll find the right integration and tailor it precisely to your requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions about SAP C4C Business Central Integration

Typically, Accounts and Contacts from C4C are created as Customers in Business Central, Opportunities become Sales Orders, and items as well as prices from the ERP flow into the CRM. Invoice status, payment receipts and Service Tickets can also be linked. MARINI can synchronize all standard and custom objects in C4C.

Yes, MARINI supports both Business Central Cloud and On-Premises installations. The connection is made via the OData v4 REST API, which is available in both variants. C4C also runs as a cloud solution, the combination of Cloud CRM and On-Prem ERP is no problem.

MARINI detects conflicts based on timestamps and applies configurable rules: Either the last changed system wins, or you manually define which system is leading for which field. Conflicts are logged, you receive alerts and can resolve them in the dashboard.

Yes, Custom Modules and entities in SAP C4C are fully supported. MARINI automatically recognizes the structure of these Custom Objects and can synchronize them just like standard objects. This also applies to Custom Fields in Business Central.

Both are possible. MARINI uses webhooks (Notifications in C4C, Subscriptions in Business Central) to react to changes in real time. Alternatively, you can configure batch jobs that run hourly or nightly, for example. You decide what fits your use case.

No, MARINI connects directly to the C4C API without requiring an SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). This reduces complexity and costs. If you already have a CPI in use, MARINI can also communicate through it, but this is not the standard approach.

With MARNI, we were able to successfully optimize our digital sales processes. We were particularly impressed by the flexibility and scalability of the platform, which helped us to implement our projects quickly and efficiently.
