Connect all systems to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations: simple, fast, secure

Would you like to have consistent and accurate customer data in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations at all times without any IT projects? That’s exactly what MARINI is for.

How do your F&O data reach the systems that interact with customers?

Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is the backbone for finance, procurement, and logistics in larger organizations. But when this data isn’t available in CRM, e-commerce, and marketing automation, each system operates with its own version of the truth. The result: Sales, procurement, and controlling speak different languages.

MARINI makes F&O data available where it’s needed. Customers, vendors, products, prices, orders, invoices, and inventory flow bidirectionally between F&O and your ecosystem. In real-time, without media breaks, even when F&O runs on-premises or in a private cloud.

F&O is the backbone for finance and supply chain. But without connection to CRM and e-commerce, sales and marketing remain cut off from ERP data.

Dynamics 365 F&O manages core business processes: general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, supply chain management, production, and warehouse management. This data is the foundation for informed decisions in sales, marketing, and customer service. Yet frequently, F&O systems are islands: CRM systems don’t know current prices, shops sell items that aren’t in stock, and marketing works with outdated customer data.

Integrating F&O with the rest of the ecosystem is technically demanding: F&O is frequently operated on-premises or in private clouds, uses data entities as the integration foundation, and consists of multiple components (Finance, Supply Chain Management) with different requirements. Without a well-thought-out integration strategy, data silos emerge, manual workarounds proliferate, and expensive custom developments accumulate.

Which systems do you connect with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations?

The following lists show a selection of the most popular F&O integrations with dedicated landing pages. MARINI can connect significantly more systems and also offers the ability to develop custom adapters for custom systems, on-premise solutions, or systems not yet listed.

Which use cases do you solve with Dynamics 365 F&O and MARINI?

The following scenarios show typical business processes that companies can implement with F&O and MARINI. The list is not exhaustive, but rather a selection of common use cases.

Lead-to-Cash: From CRM deal to paid invoice. Won deals in the CRM automatically become sales orders in F&O. Invoice status, open items, and payment receipts flow back to the CRM. Sales sees in real-time which deals have already been invoiced and where payments are outstanding. Finance works with validated order data from sales. A seamless process without media breaks, without manual transfers, without reconciliation loops between sales and controlling.

Order-to-Cash: From online order to delivery and payment. Shop orders automatically become sales orders in F&O. Inventory levels, delivery status, and tracking information flow back to the shop. Customers see in real-time whether items are available and when delivery will occur. The warehouse works with validated order data, without manual post-processing. A seamless process from order to delivery that prevents overselling and improves customer experience.

Your use case is unique. Let’s talk about it.

Whether it’s a single process or a complex system landscape: We work with you to align your use cases and identify the right integration strategy. I look forward to the conversation.

Which industries benefit from Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations integration?

Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations integration is not an industry-specific topic — it is a process-driven one. That said, the concrete requirements vary considerably: in the financial sector, the focus is on compliance, KYC processes, and regulated data flows. In mechanical engineering and manufacturing, the priorities lie in partner sales, aftermarket processes, and complex customer structures with hierarchical relationships. In the media industry, it is subscriptions, reader engagement, and multi-channel distribution that drive integration needs. The following industry pages demonstrate how MARINI addresses these requirements in practice.

Why MARINI for Dynamics 365 F&O integration?

F&O offers a solid foundation for integrations with data entities. But connecting to non-Microsoft systems, especially when F&O runs on-premises or in private clouds, is complex and time-consuming.

Native connectors vs. integration platform. Many CRM and e-commerce systems offer native connectors for Microsoft systems. These cover standard scenarios but quickly reach their limits with more complex requirements: field mapping, validation, duplicate handling, multi-company structures, and custom objects are often not supported or only partially supported. MARINI offers preconfigured mappings for F&O data entities while simultaneously enabling granular control over every aspect of the integration, without requiring developers to implement every change.

Custom development vs. permanent platform. Custom developments with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or proprietary solutions are flexible but create technical debt: every change, every new field, every new business rule requires developer capacity. MARINI offers a permanent platform with integrated monitoring, logging, error handling, and alerting. Business units can adjust mappings and rules themselves, while IT retains control over architecture and security.

Generic iPaaS vs. specialized solution. Generic integration platforms can theoretically connect any system but often require extensive configuration and deep technical understanding. MARINI specializes in B2B integrations between ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and marketing automation. The platform knows typical scenarios, offers preconfigured templates, and also supports on-premises deployments of F&O, which are common in larger organizations.

Maximum Security and Stability

Business-critical data deserves maximum reliability. At MARINI, security isn’t an add-on—it’s our lived standard. Our security architecture at a glance:

  • GDPR-compliant and legally secured (including Swiss revDPA)
  • ISO 27001-certified data centers
  • Multiple daily backups across multiple locations
  • Incident response and recovery plans
  • Continuous monitoring and personal tech support

This keeps your central data infrastructure stable, protected, and scalable at all times. Together, we’ll find the right integration and tailor it precisely to your requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions about Dynamics 365 F&O Integration

In Dynamics 365 F&O, customers, vendors, products, sales orders, purchase orders, invoices, and inventory are typically synchronized. MARINI uses data entities as the integration foundation and can connect all objects for which data entities are available or customizable. Custom objects and extensions are also supported.

Dynamics 365 F&O provides OData REST APIs via data entities for all essential business objects. MARINI uses these APIs for bidirectional synchronization in real-time. Authentication occurs via OAuth 2.0 with Azure AD, and service-to-service authentication is also supported.

Yes. Dynamics 365 F&O is frequently operated on-premises or in a private cloud. MARINI can also connect on-premise systems, either via secure VPN connections or via Azure Hybrid Connections. The platform supports both cloud and on-premise deployments within the same integration solution.

F&O consists of the components Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM/Operations). These are now also available separately. MARINI can connect both components individually or together. Which objects are synchronized depends on which components are in use and which business processes are to be implemented.

MARINI offers integrated duplicate handling based on configurable matching rules. You define which fields are relevant for identifying a record (e.g., external customer number, email, company name). The platform checks before each write operation whether a record already exists and automatically decides whether to create a new record or update an existing one.

The duration depends on the complexity of the integration. Simple scenarios (e.g., customers and products between F&O and a CRM) can go live in 2-4 weeks. More complex scenarios with multi-company structures, custom objects, or extensive business rules require 4-8 weeks. MARINI offers preconfigured templates for typical scenarios, which significantly reduces implementation time.

Costs consist of setup, platform license, and optional professional services. Simple integrations start at a low four-figure amount for setup and monthly platform usage. Exact costs depend on the number of systems, data volume, and complexity of business logic. MARINI offers transparent pricing models without hidden costs.

MARINI offers a no-code interface with which technically savvy users can configure simple integrations themselves. For more complex scenarios, MARINI’s professional services offer support: from requirements analysis through implementation to go-live. Co-creation models are also possible, where MARINI handles the basic configuration and your team takes over ongoing maintenance.

With MARINI, we use a reliable interface between our existing ERP system and HubSpot. The data exchange works seamlessly and delivers tangible added value in our day-to-day operations. We are particularly impressed by the platform’s clear structure as well as the direct and straightforward communication with the support team.
