Security
Here you can regenerate your token, change your password, and enable multi-factor authentication.
Management of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
The security of your account is our top priority. Therefore, multi-factor authentication (MFA) via email code is enabled by default. This means that at each login attempt, a one-time code will be sent to your registered email address, which you must enter in addition to your password.
Additionally, MFA is also required for relevant actions, such as deploying an integration plan or deleting relations. This ensures that even critical operations in your account are optimally protected.
Setting up MFA with an Authenticator App
If you prefer to set up multi-factor authentication using Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP), you can do this in your personal settings under the “Security” section. Follow these steps to activate MFA using TOTP:

1. Activating MFA using TOTP:
- In the security section, you will find the option to activate MFA using TOTP.
- Click on “Activate” or “Enable” next to the TOTP option.
2. Follow the activation instructions:
- An instruction guide will appear, walking you through the activation process.
- A QR code will be displayed, which you must scan using a common authenticator app.
3. Use an authenticator app:
- Download an authenticator app on your smartphone if you haven’t already. Common apps include Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
- Open the app and scan the displayed QR code.
4. Enter the one-time password:
- After scanning the QR code, your authenticator app will display a one-time password (TOTP).
- Enter this password in the corresponding field on the website to complete the activation.
5. Confirmation:
Once you have entered the TOTP code and it has been successfully verified, MFA using TOTP is activated.
6. Save backup codes:
After setting up two-factor authentication, you will be shown 10 backup codes. These codes are very important and should be stored securely.
Save the displayed backup codes on a separate device that is not used for multi-factor authentication (MFA), so you can still access your account in case you lose your device.
You can also generate new codes at any time. Note that the old codes will become invalid. So, make sure to store the new codes as securely as the old ones.
The backup codes are an important security measure for your HubEngine account. Take good care of them!

Addition to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Login

Please note that after enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with an authenticator app in your personal settings under the “Security” section, MFA for login must be activated separately. This additional activation ensures that the code from the authenticator app, instead of the email code, will be requested for future logins.
How to activate MFA for Login:
1. Navigate to the “Security” settings:
Go to the “Security” section in your profile settings.
2. Enable 2FA for Login:
Find the “2FA for Login” option and click on “Activate” or “Enable.”
By following these steps, you ensure that the code from your authenticator app will be requested for every login attempt, instead of the code sent to your email address.
Personal Invitation Token
Your personal token allows account admin users to add you to an account. Simply provide this token to the respective administrator of the account you wish to be added to. You can view your token by clicking on the profile icon in the top horizontal navigation.
