When setting up plans, it isn’t always immediately clear in which format or with which values a system delivers its data via the API. With the Adapter Try-Out, you can query and display individual records from an already configured adapter – without having to run the plan itself.
You’ll find the function in the plan under the Systems → Adapter Try-Out tab. It is only visible to users who are allowed to edit the respective plan.
The following functions are available:
- Changes since: Returns a list of IDs that have changed since the specified date. This lets you quickly see which records a system would provide for synchronization.
- Get record by ID: Returns the record for the specified ID exactly as the system returns it via the API – i.e. the raw data before any processing.
- Get result of mapped data by ID: Returns the record for the specified ID as it looks after applying the configured mappings, conditions and actions. This essentially corresponds to the debug messages, but can be used here directly while setting up a connection.
So you can check during configuration whether your mappings, conditions and actions deliver the desired result – before you even activate the plan.
