What is SAP Business One?
Business One is an ERP solution by SAP specifically designed for small and medium businesses. The underlying idea is that small and medium businesses need an ERP as well for their management of resources. The required complexity and amount of functions is different however compared to large companies. The software comprises modules for finance, CRM, warehousing, production management and accounting.
SAP Business One runs on SAP HANA. It can be run on-premises and in the cloud. So companies can choose according to their security requirements. It is also not restricted to a specific industry. Furthermore it offers features for analytics and reporting to make better business decisions.
Caution: The API must be set up separately!
SAP Business One does not include an API by default. However, SAP provides the ability to add an API via the “API Gateway”. Before a Business One instance can be connected via the Marini Integration Platform, the SAP API Gateway must be set up. More information can be found at the following link.
