For certain mailboxes, such as Microsoft, authentication is performed via OAuth. To use the IMAP of this mailbox in the DataEngine, you need to set up an External OAuth Provider. This provider is then linked to an External OAuth Connection, which is associated with your mailbox. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you set up an External OAuth Provider.
Step 1: Navigate to the Admin Area
- Use the top-right navigation to access the Admin Area.
- Click on “Email” and open the “External OAuth Providers” menu item.
Step 2: Create a New OAuth Provider
- Select “New Group OAuth Provider” to get to the creating menu.
Step 3: Fill in the Required Fields
- Name: Provide a descriptive name for your OAuth Provider.
- Connector: Select the appropriate connector, such as Microsoft.
Important Information from the Mailbox Administrator
To complete the setup, you need specific information provided by your mailbox administrator. These details are configured outside the DataEngine:
- Client ID: Enter the Client ID of the app your mailbox administrator created in Microsoft Azure.
- Client Secret: Enter the Client Secret of the app your mailbox administrator created in Microsoft Azure.
- Authorize URL: Enter the Authorize URL provided by your administrator from Microsoft Azure.
- Access Token URL: Enter the Access Token URL provided by your administrator from Microsoft Azure.
Note: If you don’t have any of these four pieces of information, please contact your administrator.
Additional Settings
The other settings under “Extra configurations” and “Mapping configurations” can remain unchanged unless otherwise specified.
