Email Templates

Follow these steps to set up your own email templates in DataEngine:

Step 1: Access the Admin Area

  • Navigate to the Admin area from the top menu to begin the creation process.

Step 2: Select the Email Templates Menu

  • In the Admin area, find the Email Templates menu option under the Email section and select it. (In older versions, this menu may only be accessible through the “All” menu if the module is displayed.)

Step 3: Create a New Email Template

  • Click on Create Email Template in the left sidebar to start building your template.

Step 4: Name and Describe the Template

  • Assign a unique name to your email template and provide a description so others know what the template is used for.

Step 5: Set the Subject and Compose the Body

  • Choose a subject for your email and compose the message in the body section. You can use HTML or the features of the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor to format the text as needed.

Step 6: Insert Variables

  • If you want to include variables, such as personalized greetings, use the Insert Variable function. Select a module and the appropriate field to display as a variable.

Step 7: Place the Variable Code

  • Copy the generated code to the desired spot in the email or click Insert to place the code where your cursor was last positioned.

Step 8: Add a Plain Text Version

  • Optionally, add a “Plain Text” version using the Edit Plain Text button to ensure that the email content is always displayed, even if the HTML cannot be rendered.

Step 9: Attach Documents

  • Use the upload button to attach any necessary documents to your email template.

Step 10: Save the Template

  • Click Save to finalize and store your newly created email template.

Following these steps, you can integrate custom email templates into your system, allowing for personalized and efficient communication.
